What it's about
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends - the Liars - whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.
Why I loved it
I think E. Lockhart is brilliant! I was hooked trying to figure out what was being kept a secret and who the liars were. I wanted to know everything that was happening. The Liars are a group of relatives/friends who spend the entire summer together on the island. You learn about this group and what is going on within the family.
I'm not going to lie - the ending was a close-the-book-in-disbelief ending. Knowing how this book ends, ruins the storytelling and the entire premise of the plot. I can't even talk about the ending and how I feel about it without getting emotional.
Why should you read it
If you like plot twists and fast past books - then this is the book for you! Again, you don't want to know how it ends before you even start the book - that ruins the fun!
My rating
Although I enjoyed this book, I'm rating it 3/5 stars. Yes it was amazing, but I'm still not over the ending, and that pains me.
Have you read this book? What did you think?
